◆Vortex Generation: Within the measuring section of the flowmeter, there's an internally mounted, optimally designed vortex shedding body. As the fluid being measured flows past this body, it causes disturbances, leading to the periodic shedding of stable Karman vortices from both sides.

◆Vortex Frequency Detection: As the vortices shed, they induce minute pressure fluctuations on both sides of the shedding body or slight vibrations of the body itself. A highly sensitive sensor installed within the vortex flowmeter can accurately capture these periodic signals caused by vortex shedding and convert them into electrical signals .

◆Flow Calculation and Output: The electrical signal frequency detected by the sensor is directly proportional to the vortex shedding frequency. These frequency signals are then sent to the flowmeter's internal signal converter . The converter processes and precisely calculates these frequency signals based on pre-set meter factors and calibration data, ultimately determining the instantaneous flow rate and totalized flow of the measured fluid. This data is then displayed on a screen or output as standard signals.

In essence, the vortex flowmeter achieves precise fluid flow measurement through the process of "vortex generation—frequency sensing—flow quantification".
